IPL 2019 |Ganguly Picks Up the Bat at Kotla

Former India captain Sourav Ganguly was one of the most dangerous batsmen of his day, there is no secret.

Ganguly, who is currently advisor to the Delhi capitals with coach Ricky Ponting, decided to hit in Kotla because the Capitol was going through his fielding practice.

In a video posted by the Delhi capitals, Ganguly can be seen cutting and driving during the training session and directing the fielders who are not appearing in the video.

In the background, no one can see the assistant coach of Delhi Capital and Mohammed Kaif, former Ganguly's former teammate thrown out.

Ganguly played 113 Tests for India and scored 7,212 runs at an average of 42.17. He also played 311 ODIs, scoring 11,363 runs at an average of 41.02. His last international appearance for India was in a Test match in Nagpur against Australia in November 2008.

In IPL, Ganguly turned to his domestic franchise Kolkata Knight Riders for three years before giving time to the shortest format of the game after his tenure with Pune Warriors India.

Delhi's capitals have played two matches so far, in which they won the first match against Mumbai Indians and lost to defending champions Chennai Super Kings.

The next game of the Capital will be against the Kolkata Knight Riders in Feroz Shah Kotla on Saturday.
