IPL 2019 | Stiff Back Ends Dhoni's 121-Match Streak for CSK

Suresh Raina led Chennai Super Kings against Sunrisers Hyderabad, after MS Dhoni opted for rest after a strong withdrawal on Wednesday (April 17).

Dhoni last missed the match for Chennai in 2010 and was on a glorious streak of 121 matches for his franchise. Going out for the toss, Raina made it clear that Dhoni has no big injury and he will be back for the next match. Dhoni also played football before the game and was also seen bowling slowly.

Raina said, "Dhoni wanted to relax, he would be back in the next game."

The wicketkeeper-batsman has lost only four games for his franchise, three of which were in 2010 when he was dropped for 10 days due to a shoulder injury. This is Raina who captained Chennai in the last three games and his win percentage is 100 percent.

Chennai is in great form this season, which has won seven out of eight matches. Dhoni has once again led the front with 230 runs in his name at an average of 76.67.
