Cummins Returning Early from UAE to Rest

Australia's fast bowler Pat Cummins will return to Pakistan after resting for the remaining two one-day internationals against Pakistan in the UAE.

After winning the first three matches, with a five-match series in the bag, Australia is not taking a chance with their major pacers for the World Cup, although Cummins has no injury.

He became the second pacer to leave the series in the middle after Richardson, who removed his shoulders while fielding in another game.

Cummins did not play the first two matches and returned to the XI for the third game, where he took 3 wickets for 23 runs. Prior to that game, he had taken 14 wickets from five ODIs in Australia's series win in India.

Coming out of Cummins means that Nathan Coulter-Nile, Jason Behrendorff and Ken Richardson will have only three pacer in the team for the remaining two matches.

Other leading fast bowlers in Australia are sweating on fitness, in which Mitchell Starc and Josh Hejlwood are recovering from injuries. They, with Richardson, hope to be fit for the World Cup.
